Parklife was Blur's third album released on 7 July 1994, it had four hit singles: "Girls & Boys", "End of a Century", "Parklife" and "To the End".
The album cover depicts racing greyhounds at the Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium in East London. The stadium was opened in 1933 and mostly hosted Greyhound racing but at some periods also hosted speedway and stock car racing events.
In 2008 the stadium was closed after having been sold to a property developer, the final race at the stadium was held on Saturday 16 August 2008 at 23:00.
In 2010 the album cover for Parklife was among the ten chosen by the Royal Mail for a set of "Classic Album Cover" postage stamps.
