Lordi

Lordi is a Finnish hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Rovaniemi in 1992 by lead singer and songwriter Mr Lordi (Tomi Putaansuu). The group is known for wearing elaborate monster masks and costumes during all public appearances and performances. They gained international prominence after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with their song "Hard Rock Hallelujah," becoming the first Finnish act and the first hard rock group to win the competition. Lordi has released 18 studio albums—including Get Heavy (2002), The Arockalypse (2006), and the seven-album box set Lordiversity (2021)—and tours regularly across Europe and internationally.
