Barkarby airfield is an airfield in the suburb of Barkarby to the north of Stockholm, Sweden. The airfield was closed down in 2008 and is currently being developed into a residential area.

The album artwork features the band sitting in a helicopter, model Bell 47, in Barkarby airfield. Another version of the album cover used in France features the group standing in pairs in front of the helicopter.

This was the album where ABBA pushed their classic, direct pop style to the limit. On Arrival, almost every track could have been a hit single.
